CLUB Information

The Phillip Island RSL, located at the gateway to Cowes on beautiful Phillip Island,  features modern comfortable surrounds with a great range of food and beverage options.

The family friendly Lone Pine Bistro has a 220 seat dining area and features an alfresco balcony called The Terrace, overlooking a native plant garden; a children’s play room, pokies, TAB Keno and separate racing area, Sports bar and lounge with big TV screens, pool table, fireplaces and a library.

Our Executive Chef, and his team work hard to ensure that the menu offers a mix of family favourites, traditional and seasonal dishes, much of which is from South Gippsland and/or Phillip Island. For families, there is a kids menu, seniors menu, and all menus have a gluten free and vegetarian option plus there is an extensive daily specials board.

ANNUAL Report & General Meetings

Annual General Meetings are held usually in March/April each year.    All elections for the committee positions are conducted by post.  Only Service and Affiliate members can vote.

Why do I have to scan my licence to enter the venue?

It’s a liquor licensing requirement. A standard procedure in Clubs across Australia.

How long is my licence information kept on file by the RSL?

6 to 12 months

I came in yesterday, why do I need to have my licence scanned again?

Only lasts 24 hours

I live within the 10km radius of the club. What does this mean?

Liquor licensing requirement as we are a licensed Members; CLUB not a hotel so you do need to become a member, I can give you temporary membership for up to 2 visits but after that, you’ll need to join.

Do I have to be a member to come into the venue?

No, but you will need to sign in.

I’m a member at another Victorian RSL – will my card work?

No

I’m from NSW/SA/QLD – will my RSL card work?

No – only Victorian participating RSL’s using the Rewards card

I’m a Leagues Club (or other type club) can I use my card here?

No Sorry

Do I have to be an ex service person to come into the venue?

No, not at all, everyone is welcome.

Why should I become a member?

You are supporting a local charity that runs a business, raising funds for our veterans and local community. Secondly, there are great benefits including discounts, loyalty points, exclusive competitions, meal deals and more.

How do I become a member?

Simply complete this application form and I will join you up now, and can print your membership card now so you can use it straight away.

How much does membership cost?

$20 for social membership and $20 for Service and Affiliate memberships for 12 months.

Why do you swipe your membership card at the booth?

Swipe your card to receive an entry into our monthly $50 venue voucher competition. You may also win other prizes including wine, additional points, buy one get one free offers.

How do I get cash out ?

Pop over the ATM and the concierge or cashier will push the button to commence.

I’m a local – do I have to book?

Yes – we are unable to reserve tables for locals only. You can book on line or call us early.

Are you open on Xmas Day?

No – we like to spend Xmas Day with our families too.

Do you cater for vegetarians/vegans?

Yes, we have dishes available – just let our staff know before ordering

Do you cater for gluten free diets?

Yes, nearly all our meals are available gluten free – even our gravies are gluten free.

Do you have a kid’s menu?

Yes we do – please let us know if your child has any allergies.

What is the dress code?

Neat casual – no singlets or headwear unless for religious reasons.

Can I wear thongs?

Yes

Why do I need to remove my hat?

It’s a mark of respect to our fallen diggers and service members.

When do I need to renew my membership?

31st December each year.
